RadioMaster MT12 Surface Radio Controller 4in1 + R85C Receiver

The hardware on this radio is very good. Smooth hall sensors and adjustable positions. What really sets this radio apart is the software. Yes it’s a steep learning curve. Once you get the hang of it your cars take on new personalities. Drive modes for speed, control, kids, beginners, speed runs, etc. Control a gyro or drag brake with the dial. The possible options are endless. What also sets it apart is the ability to use it with nearly any receiver. Stock or aftermarket, use what suits your application not what they sell.

Great radio, if you like to tinker with settings, this is for you.

After changing my aircraft fleet to the Aircraft version from Radiomaster, i had to give this radio a chance. The prices here are very competitive, the website is a breeze to navigate and the shipping was faster than expected.

The radio operation and programming is very similar to the aircraft version. I admit that going from Futaba / JR to Radiomaster was a steep learning curve, but once you are familiar with the programming, the possibilities are truly bound by your imagination. If you need inspiration for what you could or want to do, there is plenty of material on the internet to draw inspiration from. This is way more radio than i need right now, but with the future plans for my existing cars or the possibility of acquiring more complex cars in the future, this radio is ready to meet those demands.

Build is solid. It seems a bit intimidating at first but after a couple YouTube walk through, it's pretty easy to understand the UI. I barely scratched the surface of its potential. Basically "ALL" features are there so whenever your new idea sparks or ready for more advanced config, it will delivery. Meanwhile, I am ok to ignore things Idk. IMHO, Simply able to bind with all my cars is already blowing my mind and make my money worth ($130 is a steal). I can finally get rid of 5 cheap plastic transmitters for shelf space too.

This should be a 5 star product. And if I can ever get it figured out enough to bind it to even a flysky esc, then I will rate this appropriately. Unfortunately, like I knew going in, this is more for people who can do some computer stuff. That is just out of my wheel house for now. I will eventually use the included reciever in one of my rc cars so I can hopefully use this radio. It looks and feels really good. Again, it is just above my intelligence level.

I also have a Boxer so not new to the brand but for surface, they knocked it out of the park. Add in fast shipping from HeliDirect and I was out crawling the same weekend of the order.
