Is your rig strong enough?
This highly technical obstacle built for 1/18 and 1/24 scale crawlers will put your skills to the test! You will have to find your way through steep inclines and declines all while maintaining side to side balance. Beware of the frame scraping boulders that may look innocent – they will challenge all but the most well equipped rigs.
This CrawlerTrax obstacle is highly portable and can be taken just about anywhere you take your rig – from the living room to the rock park. The Frame Bender comes with full color, scaled graphics and the option to modify the number and placement of the obstacle panels.

🔧 Two Years With the HangarRC Frame Bender — My Real‑World Review
After two full years of running the Frame Bender, it’s become one of those obstacles that I measure everything else against. It’s technical, it’s fun, and it’s built with the kind of craftsmanship that holds up long after the novelty wears off. This thing has seen constant use, aggressive rigs, and plenty of abuse — and it’s still going strong.
🏗️ Quality That Shows Immediately
The Frame Bender is one of those obstacles where the quality is obvious the moment you set a rig on it. The geometry is precise, the transitions feel intentional, and the whole piece has that “HangarRC premium” feel. Even after two years, nothing about it feels cheap or worn out.
⏳ Longevity That Proves Its Worth
Two years of nonstop sessions, and the Frame Bender still performs exactly the way it did on day one. No sagging, no warping, no structural fatigue. It’s handled everything from lightweight crawlers to heavy rigs without losing its shape or challenge. It’s rare for an obstacle to stay this consistent over time.
💪 Sturdiness You Can Trust
This obstacle is solid. It doesn’t flex, twist, or shift under load. Even when I’m running aggressive tires or hitting it at odd angles, the Frame Bender stays planted and predictable. It’s one of those pieces I never have to worry about — it just takes the punishment and keeps delivering.
🎨 Finish That Still Looks Sharp
The finish has held up impressively well. The colors, the texture, the overall presentation — it still looks clean and professional even after two years of dirt, dust, and tire scrubbing. It’s one of those obstacles that still looks good enough to display, not just use.
⚠️ The Only Real Issue: Decal Edge Wear
If there’s one thing worth mentioning, it’s the decals. Just like with The Wave and other high‑use obstacles, aggressive tires and constant sessions eventually start to fray the edges a bit. It’s purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect performance, but it’s the one place where you can see the miles.
⭐ Final Verdict
Two years in, the HangarRC Frame Bender is still one of my benchmark obstacles. The quality, longevity, sturdiness, and finish are all top‑tier, and it continues to deliver a technical, satisfying challenge every time I run it. Aside from some decal edge wear from heavy use, it’s been rock‑solid and absolutely worth having in the collection.
This is a great obstacle for benchmarking those rigs and showing off the flex or warming up for the obstacles.
The good: This one was a quick setup. The cut outs were perfect on it and it goes together with ease. Its not the hardest obstacle, but it has a fun flex for those stock trucks that want to see where the weaknesses are. I still use this with my new rigs as well as my Full mods. Fun is the key word.
The bad: As I stated, its not very hard but it does add something for all your vehicles to play on.
Longevity: This obstacle is as solid as the day I built it. It my go to travel obstacle as its not that big but I can play on the bed, or desk or anywhere I happen to be.
The concept is cool but needs to be a bit bigger. The different pieces are meant to create a small track on a large desk or something but unless you have multiple obstacles it will get old real fast.
This CrawlerTrax obstacle is highly portable and can be taken just about anywhere you take your rig – from the living room to the rock park.
